The groups@yahoo.com is a series of computer programs within Yahoo.com designed to facilitate the activities of a particular group of like minded individuals.  In this instance, the "Group" consists of the members of the "Rio Grande Valley A's" (RGVA's) a group of Model A Ford enthusiasts that own, restore, collect and drive Model A Fords manufactured between 1928 thru 1931. 

The "Group" program is controlled by the group moderator.  The moderator  controls who can join the group.  In this way only members of the RGVA's have access to the information, photo's, links, and membership information of the other members of the RGVA's.  To join the group a request must be sent to the group moderator, who will in turn authorize or deny the requests to join.

By using the "Group",  any member of the group, can query, and correspond with an individual or group of individuals within the group with a single post on the forum.   They will  also have access to information on each member, of the group, his phone number, address & type of Model A Ford they own. Useful information when  having a problem with their car.

The "Groups" program also automatically sends E-Mail  information to all the members of the group, informing them of meetings, and or events posted in the events section, by the Moderator or other authorized members of the group.
